Light, Life, and Oneness

I am a Korean-speaking person in my forties, and meet in the church in Cypress, CA. It is already my 27th year since I started meeting with the local church. It has become the most important time of my life and I so thank the Lord. I have been thinking that if I didn’t know the local church how I would live such a meaningless and vain life. Thank the Lord who brought me here.

Here is the Word and the presence of Christ. The Word is my light and my life (John 1:1; 9:5; 6:63). Watchman Nee and Witness Lee’s books help me to enjoy the light and life in the Word. And they also have the reality. In addition, they both lived what they spoke. In the early 1990’s, I immigrated to the United States and observed Witness Lee closely. I was impressed by the fact that his speaking and living matched.

What a hope it is waiting for the Lord’s coming back, while I enjoy several Bible conferences per year these awaken me and are a big encouragement.

The local church in Cypress has a Korean-speaking meeting and an English-speaking meeting and in November 1999, the Chinese-speaking meeting began. Different nations and languages get together but it is one church.

“Whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free” without distinction as one church there is a rich supply and testimony (1 Corinthians 12:13b; John 17:23). I have found that the characteristic of the local church is “oneness.”

According to this pleasure of the Lord, I want to enjoy the Lord’s blessing together with the believers in oneness.
